Regular check-ups will help us keep an eye on your oral health and spot any problems early. If we find anything that requires treatment, we will advise the best course of action and put together a treatment plan, including expected costs.

What happens during a routine examination?

Our check-ups only take up to 10 minutes. In that time, we get a good look at your teeth and gums, making sure that they are healthy and free of decay. We will be looking for signs of infection, oral cancer and a misaligned bite.

We may take an x-ray to assess the condition of your tooth structures and jaw. This gives us an idea if you have any signs of an infected pulp or a cavity.

Once we’ve finished our assessment, we give any brushing tips or diet advice that we think will help keep your teeth healthy at home. We then arrange when we want to see you next. Most patients have a check-up every six month, however we may only want to see you every 12 if you have no problems.
